Patrick Hamm

Patrick Hamm is an award-winning independent producer and cinematographer, based between NYC and Berlin.
A Berlinale Talents and Eurodoc alumnus, He develops and produces character-driven films that examine power, institutions, and accountability. His work combines formal precision with social urgency.
His credits include Dear Lara (2026; SBIFF), Who I Am Not (2023; SXSW, CPH:DOX) by Tünde Skovran, This Rain Will Never Stop (2020; IDFA, True/False) by Alina Gorlova, and Freedom For The Wolf (2017; Slamdance, IDFA) by Rupert Russell.
He frequently collaborates with first-time feature directors and international co-production partners.
Patrick holds a B.A. in Ethics, Politics & Economics from Yale University and a Ph.D. in Sociology from Harvard University.
He is Co-Captain of Documentary Features Programming at Slamdance, a News & Documentary Emmy Awards judge, and a jury member of the Cinema for Peace Academy.
He is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Documentary Producers Alliance, the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers, and the Global Impact Producers Alliance
